What Does Great Paramotor Training Actually Look Like?

Choosing a paramotor school isn't just about finding somewhere to get your first flight. The real question is what kind of pilot you'll be when the training is over.

Look at class size, individual instruction, actual flight experience, and whether the program is designed to gradually make you less dependent on your instructor.

Paramotor Orlando limits training classes to a maximum of three students.

That gives instructors time to work with each pilot individually. Some skills click quickly. Others need repetition. Training should progress around the student — not around a crowded class.

THE GOAL IS INDEPENDENCE

At the beginning, you're learning to be a good student. You listen. You follow instructions. You build the fundamentals.

Then something starts to change.

As your skills improve, the instructor steps back. You make more decisions. You set up your takeoff. You manage the flight. You plan the approach. You land.

Eventually, the voice in your headset gets quieter.
That's intentional.

MORE THAN A FIRST SOLO

Your First Solo Isn't Graduation.

A first solo is an incredible milestone. But getting into the air once isn't the same as becoming an independent pilot.

Our 10-day foot-launch training program targets 25 or more flights when weather and conditions allow. Those flights create opportunities to practice takeoffs, approaches, landings, decision-making, and consistency — not just experience one first flight.
